The Venerable Bhikkhu Monks and Committees of the Tepthidaram
Buddhist Temple would like to cordially invite members and general public to
come join Bon Kan Ben (Food Offering Rotations) and Bon Pchum Ben (Ancestor
Food Festival), with following program:

Congregation worship
Triple Gem (Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha), observe 5 Precepts, and Prayer Mantras
by Bhikkhu Monks.
Members bring with them foods to offer to the
Bhikkhu Monks and share among congregations.
Evening:
Khmer traditional music, entertainment,
dance, and performance. Donations are accepted at the Entrance.

ស្បង់ចីពរ ទីស្នាក់អាស្រ័យ និងថ្នាំរក្សារោគ

Ben or
Bendha means piece of food or rice. Pchum Ben means people gathering to offer
food to Bhikkhu monks and nuns who are residing in a monaster for a Buddhist
Lent period, which include material offering such as food, clothes, resident,
and medicine, and Dhamma offering such as Dhamma preaching and teachings on
deeds of failures. The essential goal of this day is not solely providing
united strength of food to clergies, nuns, and destitute people, congregations
also remember their dead ancestors in order to dedicate all merits they have
earned to them. May all beings free from sufferings and failures in life.
